Nova at the forefront of the agentic AI dialogue at the 29th Annual Economist Government Roundtable

Nova, member of United Group, the leading telecommunications and media group in Southeast Europe, participated in the 29th Annual Economist Government Roundtable, held on July 2, 2025, in Athens, with Alexandros Bregiannis, CEO of Nova ICT, delivering a keynote speech.
Alexandros Bregiannis was a panelist in the session titled “Examining the opportunities and challenges in the era of agentic AI” alongside: Dimitris Papastergiou (Minister of Digital Governance and Artificial Intelligence), Francis Fukuyama (Senior Fellow, Stanford University), Sudhanshu Asthana (Vice President of EMEA – Digital Business, Iron Mountain), Georgios Sioufas (Founder & Managing Partner, Sioufas & Associates Law Firm), Alexandros Manos (CEO, Netcompany SEE & EUI), Effie Presveia (General Director of IT, PPC) and Bill Karnazes (CSO & GM Corporate Services, Viohalco Companies).
The discussion, moderated by “The Economist” journalist and Consultant Editor, John Andrews, focused on the opportunities and challenges presented by the next generation of Artificial Intelligence, known as agentic AI, as well as Europe’s role in shaping digital competitiveness, resilience and responsible innovation.
During his speech, Alexandros Bregiannis stated: “ At NOVA, we believe agentic AI is a key driver for the future of telecommunications and ICT. We focus on this transformative technology to stay at the forefront of delivering innovative, high-quality services to our customers”. He further noted that
“agentic AI marks the coming of age of Artificial Intelligence. We must evolve alongside it to avoid ethical, security and data protection pitfalls.”

Participants engaged in in-depth discussions on key economic, social, geopolitical, environmental and technological issues of global significance.
