Nova ICT has been awarded at the Greek ICT Awards 2025

We are especially proud that NOVA ICT has been awarded at the “Greek ICT Awards 2025”, in the category “IT & Digital Technology Investment”, for the project “Digital Transformation of the Greek National Opera (GNO)”.

By leveraging cutting-edge technologies such as augmented, mixed and virtual reality (AR, XR, VR), we are radically transforming the way the Greek National Opera prepares and stages its performances. Artists and production teams will now be able to participate in virtual rehearsals from anywhere in the world, creating a modern, digital cultural space.

The project delivers positive impact across multiple areas:

• Culture & the Arts: New possibilities for artistic expression and creative collaboration, beyond geographical limitations.
• Education & Innovation: Open access to the GNO’s digital archive for students, researchers and the general public.
• Environmental Sustainability: Significant reduction of the carbon footprint through digitized rehearsals and fewer travel requirements.

A key factor in the project’s successful implementation has been our collaboration with Aegean Solutions SA and the Digital Media Lab (DMLab) of the Technical University of Crete, under the scientific leadership of Professor, Panagiotis Parthenios, from the School of Architecture.
