ENFLATE: ENabling FLexibility provision by all Actors and sectors through markets

The European Commission’s policy framework seeks to decarbonise the energy system, encouraging the electrification of heat and transport, as well as connecting more clean but intermittent generation. ENFLATE aims to develop and demonstrate in 6 demonstration campaigns across 5 countries (Bulgaria, Greece, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland), a collaborative platform of tools, that builds upon existing solutions, enabling consumer- driven business models for energy services, valorising their multi-vector flexibility potential and integrating them with other non-energy services, like health and mobility services. It will propose applicable consumer-centred flexibility platforms and provide smart grid innovative technologies engaging local consumers, grid and market operators, regulatory authorities, service providers, manufacturers, academia.

To achieve its goal, the project consortium brings 30 partners from 7 EU (Greece, Belgium, France, Spain, Sweden, Germany, Bulgaria) and 2 associated countries (United Kingdom, Switzerland), including grid operators, market operators, regulatory authorities and public entities, R&D centres and universities, manufacturers, technology providers and ICT developers.
