Accessibility

Nova ICT recognizes the right to equal access for all to its services. To this end, we have adopted a number of measures to ensure digital accessibility for all users, including people with disabilities.

Last updated: 11.06.2025

Nova ICT is taking steps to make its website accessible and user-friendly, in accordance with the European Accessibility Act (EAA) and the harmonized European standard EN 301 549, which is aligned with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 AA.

Digital accessibility is not just a goal we seek to achieve, but an ongoing commitment that we implement in every aspect of our digital service delivery. We recognize that this requires continuous monitoring, improvement and adaptation.

In the following sections, we analyze the various efforts that have been made to help ensure digital accessibility for all.

How we support Accessibility

A key element of our accessibility initiative is our collaboration with a third-party accessibility advisory body in order to make our website more accessible. To achieve this, we use standardized accessibility methods and tools, in accordance with the relevant version of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), as defined by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), the leading international Internet standard-setting organization. As part of our firm commitment to strengthening and addressing accessibility challenges, we are taking the following steps:

  • We integrate accessibility as part of our internal policies and digital strategy
  • We conduct automated scans, manual checks and tests using recognized methodologies and tools
  • We make corrections based on identified gaps to improve compliance with EN 301 549
  • We integrate accessibility into design and development processes from the outset
  • We train relevant teams to adopt accessibility best practices across content and code
  • We’ve integrated accessibility widgets, offering users tools to customize their experience (e.g., contrast, text size, screen reader optimization, keyboard navigation).
  • We’ve enabled Automated Recovery Technology (ART) for all guests, whether they’re using assistive tools or not. ART does not detect the use of Assistive Technology. Instead, it improves accessibility for all website visitors, regardless of their abilities, through the development of restoration capabilities.

Continuous Improvement

We are actively working to improve the accessibility of our website, believing that it is our collective moral obligation to allow unhindered, accessible and unhindered use of it by those of us who have disabilities.

In an ongoing effort to continuously improve and fix accessibility issues, we also regularly scan novaict.gr website with the Accessibility Scanner and manual checkers to identify and fix any potential accessibility barriers to our website.

Despite our efforts and fixes to make all pages and content fully accessible, we recognize that some areas may need further improvements. Our commitment is ongoing, and we are constantly reviewing and improving our website to better meet the needs of all users.

Restrictions and Areas Under Consideration

Despite our best efforts, some areas of the site may not yet be fully accessible.

Known limitations include:

  • Some savable documents (PDFs, Word) may not be fully labeled with accessibility tags and may not be fully configured for screen readers.
  • Older videos may not contain accurate subtitles, audio descriptions, or transcriptions.
  • Third-party apps may have accessibility restrictions beyond our control.

We are actively working to resolve these issues and address them as part of our accessibility program.
